Tim Chiasson: Out-Flaming the Flames; Onward To Edmonton Antti Niemi stole two points for the Sharks last night, giving them a chance to win after two ugly periods of hockey en route to their fourth win in a row.

i def wouldnt want to b the team that might have to play the flames in the playoffs. oilers dont have the same gritt and heart the flames do.

sharks 5-2 final

Irwin and Hannan are teeth clenching bad! they touch the puck and i get nervous. Irwin has a pretty fair shot but very bad decision making.

I remember when the Flames would play the Sharks and it would be just an awful lost.... 7-1.... 9-1....

The Flames can't win every game but when they don't they are right there and provide an entertaining game for the fans.

Ramo looks just like Kipper in net. Kind of funny.

Mike Brown=60-0 It's too bad he broke his hand earlier in the season & missed all that time...........we could've had a perfect season Tim

I have a bad feeling that we're going to be the team that helps Edmonton end their losing streak...

"Sharks 5v5 Corsi leader through two periods: John Scott"

Yet you still don't want to accept the immeasurable value he brings to the team, Tim-Dog!

Is Scott getting a point a sign the rest of the team is that good, or something really went wrong with the other team for that shift?

I'd credit it 95% Couture's filthy backhand, 5% the Flames defender wetting himself because John Scott was forechecking him.

I'd bet he wasn't as comfortable having that ogre coming towards him as opposed to, say, Tyler Kennedy or someone of that size.

It was Diaz who turned the puck over to him, guy shouldn't even get a sniff at the NHL.

I am pretty sure most every Finn goalie in the league now would cite Kipper as a main influence, including Niemi and Rask, so not too surprising. Good game by the Sharks, who are better than their record.
